Cut Copy and Dragonette Official Lollapalooza Afterparty at The Metro

Cut Copy. What can I say that hasn’t been said before. Music that makes you move. Feel good sexy futuristic synth-pop hits being belted onto a dancing crowd with hypnotic strobe lights popping off every half second. This Aussie foursome filled The Metro with pure energy and passion, that was matched up with a super seizure-matic LED light show to accompany the band members thrashing around to time-less hits like Time Stands Still, Hearts on Fire, Lights and Music, and many other songs off of Bright Like Neon Love and In Ghost Colours. But don’t be disappointed by no new material, they did interject between tracks with new songs off of their new album, which is yet to be released, or named.

Dragonette is a force to be reckoned with. This threesome brings it. Hard. The electro-disco tracks set off the party, and the female vocalist is a sure crowd pleaser with a voice of an angel sent from 80′s electro dance heaven. Martina Sorbara, for being such a cute and dainty girl, projects her voice into the crowd in a way that resembles a young Donna Summers, and the backing synths and percussion can make any shy man start to move their feet.
