Holy Ghost! At The Riviera Theatre

I still feel like Holy Ghost is such a young band. A great band, but such a young band, I can stick to my statement on that. Physically, they all look like they are fresh 21 year olds who have mastered the sound that spawned and ended before they were even born. But looks are deceiving. These youngsters may not be the kids you just carded at the door but it’s true that the guys can get a crowd dancing and rockin up a storm with their take on the 80’s synth pop sound.

The infamous DFA duo came-a-blazin’ with a 5 man band to Chicago’s Riviera theater, on tour with their fellow dance-crazed musicians, Cut Copy. Their energy was high that night, my friends, as fans wasted no time, getting their party on, and tearing up the Riviera floor. You sure as hell didn’t need to pop any pills that night, but if you did, you were one of the peeps getting down hard to the blasting guitar riffs and soothing vocals.

One of the best bands out there right now. If they come through, see ’em. Nuff said.
