Grunge rockers and Alternative music pioneers Soundgarden reunited after more than a decade apart to perform at Lollapalooza this year. But, before they would perform in front of tens of thousands closing down the last night of the festival they played their first official (they performed as Nudedragons in April in their home city of Seattle) show in the intimate Vic Theatre on Chicago’s northside on Thursday August 5, 2010. Lead singer Chris Cornell has grown his hair long and was sporting a pair of Chuck Taylor tennis shoes in an homage to the bands earlier days. Luckily for the few that were able to get tickets through a lottery on the bands website the band was also in vintage form. Soundgarden played more than 20 songs from their extensive catalog and definitely impressed the crowd.
